Welcome to the Valley County Assessor’s office. The office of the County Assessor is responsible for the assessment of property. It is the Assessor’s duty to determine equitable values on both real and personal property for tax purposes. Determining the value of real and personal property is the first step in property tax administration. The duties of the Assessor in regard to this function are prescribed in Title 63 of the Idaho Code. The Assessor also acts as the agent of the Department of Idaho Transportation in titling and registering vehicles. We believe the information that is presented here will help you, the taxpayer, understand current assessment procedures. If you have any further questions please contact our office at 208-382-7126. You may also contact us by e-mail at: assessor@co.valley.id.us.
Our office is open Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
