Engineering Fees and Deposits
The listed deposit will be made at time of application and will be paid as follows.
Conditional Use Permits (prior to C.U.P. recordation or any construction, extension approvals, or issuance of a building permit) $300
Subdivision (prior to extension approvals or recordation of the plat)  $1000
Variance (prior to approval by the Board of County Commissioners or any construction or issuance of a building permit) $250
Appeal (prior to action by the Board of County Commissioners)  $300
Vacation (prior to recordation of the approval) $300
Engineering Review Form
  • All engineering fees will be charged at 105% of the direct costs as billed by the Valley County Engineer.
  • Deposits will be replenished when amount of deposit is less than engineering fees. Administrator will track.
  • Developer shall sign a contract agreeing to additional deposits at request of Administrator.
  • Reimbursement will be made to applicant for amount of deposit that exceeds the actual charges plus 5%.
  • Administrator can determine that no deposit will be required if there will be no engineering review.

Note: Planning and Zoning Fees are in addition to other fees that may be charged by other county departments, i.e., recording fees, street sign fees, etc.  Fees include publication and notice fees
