Sherry Maupin is an Idaho native and moved to Valley County in 2006. She was raised in New Plymouth and moved to Boise where she met and married Fred Maupin in 1979. They moved to Middleton in 1994 to raise their 2 sons in a small farming community. There Sherry served on the Middleton School Board and served as a Canyon County Planning and Zoning Commissioner. Sherry worked as a banker with First Interstate Bank and locally Idaho First Bank. She spent her banking career in numerous roles which included Branch Management and Branch Operations. This allowed her to learn Best Practices for managing teams and expanding learning programs. While in Banking she was able to serve in many Community volunteer roles. This taught her that Community service is necessary to bring people together and to create collaboration opportunities to help others find pathways to resolve community issues. Sherry’s career has been focused in Banking, Real Estate and the homebuilding industry. She is excited to bring this knowledge to the Commission and help find a strategic pathway forward as the County expands and grows. |
