The mission of the Prosecutor’s Office is to inspire confidence in the justice system, reduce crime in Valley County, and educate and engage with the community.

Records Requests

In order to assure a timely response to any requests for public records, please submit your requested public records request to the Valley County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office in person, by mail, or fax.

All records requests must include your name, the record requested, your address to send the record to, and a phone number in case contact is needed regarding the request.

Though the majority of records contained in the Valley County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office are available to the public, there often will be redactions of personal information. Any request where redactions are made, if the answer to the request takes more than two man hours to put together, or if the request is for more than 100 pages, there may be a charge for the production of the records. Any request for records will be answered within three days, though some requests may take longer to process.
