Absentee Ballot Requests

1. Request your Absentee Ballot

You must request your ballot every year in order to vote absentee. You can request your ballot online through the Secretary of State’s Office at voteidaho.gov. You can also fill out a request form at the Valley County Clerk's office. Registered voters who do not request their ballot by the deadline, will NOT automatically be mailed a ballot.

Absentee ballots CAN NOT be picked up at the Elections Office, they must be sent by USPS mail delivery.

Please note, you will need to be registered to vote to participate in the upcoming elections. You can register online at voteidaho.gov

2. Wait for Your Ballot.

Once you’ve requested your ballot, give our team some time to process your request and drop your ballot in the mail.

You can track your ballot, and confirm your ballot request has been received, at voteidaho.gov

3. Vote and Return Your Ballot.

As soon as you receive your ballot, vote and use the pre-addressed envelope to mail it back. Please note the additional postage that is required for return mail.

You may return by mail to:
Valley County Clerk's Office
PO Box 1350
Cascade, ID 83611

OR in person 8:00AM - 5:00PM, M-F at:
Valley County Courthouse
219 N Main St., Cascade, ID 83611

McCall Courthouse Annex
550 Deinhard Ln., McCall, ID 83638

Ballots will be date stamped, then held in the Elections Office Vault until election day. All votes will be opened and counted on election day.
Ballots must be RECEIVED by the Clerk's office by 8:00PM on election day, regardless of post-marked date.
