Provide quality customer service, and assist the public in locating County records.

Office Services

The Clerk of the District Court also serves as Auditor, Recorder and as Clerk of the Board of Commissioners.

The Recorder is primarily involved with recording documents related to property. Many types of licenses are available through our office, such as: Marriage, Liquor, Beer, Wine and Catering Permits.

County Auditors maintain an accurate financial system for all departments.

Indigent payments are accepted through the Clerk's Office. For additional information on Medical Assistance and the Indigent Program, please  Click Here http://www.co.valley.id.us/services/medical-assistance/.

This office also provides copies of County contracts, levies, budgets and election information.

Document Search:

Valley County does not currently have an online document / records search, however, we do offer public computers for your use at our Cascade office.

Recording Fees:

$10.00 first page and $3.00 per each additional page per document type. Exceptions are:

  • Plats $11.00 each
  • Records of Survey $5.00 per page
  • Assessment Work (Mining) $10.00 for 1st page and $3.00 for each additional page.
  • Marriage Licenses are $30.00

*Payments must be in the form of check or cash.*

 

*Effective July 1st, 2017, recording fees will change to the following:
