Our employment population is diverse with opportunities in: law enforcement, detention, heavy equipment operation, mechanics, information technology, legal, and administration. Valley County is a scenic rural county located in west central Idaho. The County is home to the beautiful resort town of McCall which is located on pristine Payette Lake. McCall’s Winter Carnival is a festive event that draws ice and snow sculptors from around the country. There are two ski resorts serving Valley County, Brundage Mountain (in Adam’s county bordering Valley County) and Tamarack both offer great powder skiing. Valley County is also home to outstanding and numerous snowmobiling and Nordic ski trails in addition to world class whitewater and wilderness opportunities. The Payette and Salmon rivers plus the Frank Church, River of No Return Wilderness area are a part of Valley County. The area hosts the best back country flying experience in the lower 48 states. In the summer the County comes alive with boaters, campers, hikers and anglers. If backpacking is your passion the County sports numerous back country lakes, streams, and rivers. If you are looking for a lifestyle away from the hustle and bustle of larger metropolitan areas, Valley County is for you!
