The Valley County Sheriff’s Office wishes to ensure professional and accountable law enforcement for the citizens of Valley County. Honest feedback is essential to maintaining a Sheriff’s Office that is both trustworthy and responsive to the community. Therefore, it is critical that truthfulness be maintained in the filing of and investigation of complaints against the deputies. Your signature is requested at the end of this form as a sign of your commitment to truthfulness in this process.

EMPLOYEE COMMENDATION: If you would like to commend an employee of The Valley County Sheriff’s Office, you may use this form. You may also commend an employee by writing a letter to the Deputy Chief, Valley County Sheriff’s Office or to the commanding officer of the employee’s section. Verbal commendations may be given to any Valley County Sheriff's supervisor.

EMPLOYEE COMPLAINT: Complaints regarding employees’ and/or policies and procedures of the Valley County Sheriff’s Office will be routed through the employees’ direct supervisor to the section commander for review. If the complainant cannot be satisfied at this le vel, it will be submitted with attached documentation to Sheriff’s Administration for further review.
