The Valley County Online Police Reporting System
allows you to submit a police report online.

This incident occurred within Valley County, excluding the city limits of McCall.

  • Meaning if this incident occurred within the city limits of McCall you may not use the online reporting system, please contact Dispatch at 208-382-5160.  
  • If a suspect lives in Valley County and the crime occurred elsewhere, you must file a report with the agency where the crime occurred.

You do NOT have specific information or evidence regarding the suspect(s) who committed this crime? 

  • Meaning you or another person did not witness the suspect commit the crime. If you or someone witnessed the crime, you may not file this report online. (Suspecting someone of committing the act is not the same as witnessing the act itself.)

 If you suspect someone committed the act, but did not witness the person doing so, you may file this report online and include your suspicions along with the person's information in the narrative of your report.

If you have answered YES to all of the above questions, then you may file a report using the Online Reporting System.

Filing a false police report is a crime! Every person who knowingly makes a false report that a felony or misdemeanor has been committed is guilty of a misdemeanor per Idaho Code 18-5413 Perjury and Subornation of Perjury; Providing False Information To Law Enforcement Officers, Government Agencies, or Specified Professionals

What types of reports cannot be filed online:

  • Violent crimes
  • Financial crimes or identity theft 
  • Hate crimes 
  • Theft of firearms, passports, medication, or vehicle registration tags
  • Theft or attempted theft of property
  • Crimes that occurred outside of Valley County or within McCall City Limits
